Endeavour’s Roger Allam Fancies Doctor Who Villain Role

Following in the footsteps of Endeavour co-star Shaun Evans in stating his villainous Doctor Who desires, Roger Allam has now stated his own desire to turn to the dark side on the show.

The actor, who plays DI Fred Thursday alongside Evans as Morse on the show, is a longtime fan of Doctor Who and revealed to the Radio Times he’d like a role in the series:

“[I was] one of those children who’d hide when Doctor Who started… I’d like to do it, playing a villain would be great.”

Allam has already worked with Peter Capaldi in the past, starring as Peter Mannion MP in The Thick of It alongside Capaldi’s Malcolm Tucker.

Series 3 of Endeavour returns this coming Sunday on ITV at 8pm.
